128 Technolgy

128 Technology is the first SD-WAN that does not require the overhead of IP-Sec tunnels.  This company was built by the team that developed the Acme Packet session border controllers.  Their unique approach to SD-WAN creates secure sessions based on Zero Trust Security, which denies by default unauthorized traffic.  While this company may not have a household name, security conscious organizations, such as the Federal government and large retail chains have discovered this technology provider.  Being a software provider that does not sell hardware, their revenue numbers may not meet the requirements to be listed in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, but they may be quite worthy of exploring.
